Change of Plans -- More Soup?!

I roasted the last of my carrots and parsnips in paprika, cinnamon, and parsely with the intention of grilling up some steak and making some fake (boxed) mashed potatoes with it, but I got lazy and decided I didn't really want mashed potatoes anyway. So that leaves me with....



 Beef stew with roasted root vegetables, white wine and chive dumplings! I just browned the steak in a pan in chunks, then deglazed with the wine, adding some chives and a clove of garlic. I threw in the already-roasted root veggies and some soy and let this all boil down for a few minutes as I threw together some dumplings. Dumplings in the pan, I just covered it for ~10 minutes and bam, a big full beef stew without the hassle of long boiling times. It's also super flavorful!
