Dreary Monday

It's the second-to-last day before classes start back up again, and it's raining cats and dogs. I have to admit, though, that I kind of like it. On a day you know you don't really want to do anything besides sit around in your comfy clothes (awkwardly short dress and leggings style) anyway, sometimes it's nice to blame it on "bad" weather.  They perfect sad greyness of the solid clouds behind still-leafless January trees... the gentle rush of rainwater sighing through gutters... the occasional burst of wind that entangles them.... I really like the rain. I even like going out in the world, my pale golden umbrella a sympathetic bloom to the silver sky. I feel very peaceful.

Of course, it's even nicer to go out in the rain if you're doing something fun, like picking up a package! Especially one that arrived too late on a Friday to the campus mail room and you've been been having to wait all weekend to retrieve.

Doubly especially if that "something" is an adorable teapot that will allow you to sip your abnormal quantity of tea without running down stairs to microwave your mug of water every five minutes.

This is the Adagio Tea's "PersonaliTEA" pot. It holds just enough for two very big mugs of tea, or several smaller cups like you see here. It's also only $9, with a really nice nesting infuser, so it's a bargain. I ordered a few ounces of loose-leaf tea on the cheap so I can play with the infuser, and it works really well. This afternoon I'm drinking Argo Tea's blueberry white tea, though I also ordered pomegranate white tea from them. You can buy their tea through Amazon, or you can check out SpecialTeas online or even Adagio Tea's website for a big selection for a good price. Adagio even offers a very tempting "signature blend" service where you get to select from many kinds of teas and add-ins, plus your own logo on the packaging, also for a really good price. Ordering tea online seems like a risky proposition since it's hard to tell how good the tea will be before it gets to you, but my experience so far is very positive for tea that is far cheaper than, say, Teavana's.
