Sometimes I don't really know what to call a meal. Late breakfast? Second supper? Big snack? Maybe it's just to make up for the fact that my breakfast is usually very small and rushed and my dinner comes at 11 pm, but I get hungry enough that I wind up eating two small "lunches" (or a lunch and a regular timed dinner in addition to my late one) most days. Both tend to be small and, of course, mostly veggie based, so together they'd probably equal out to one normal meal.
A bit of rosemary polenta topped with pan-fried baby asparagus, white beans, black pepper, and garlic chips, with a couple thin flakes of parmesan as a garnish. Awkward middlemeals sound better for me than leftover birthday cake to tide me over, in any case.
